The West Australian Sustainable Energy Association will run a National Green Fleet Day on November 11 at Ascot Racecourse in Perth, Western Australia.

Toyota, Mitsubishi Motors, Gull Group of Companies, Hyundai, GM, Honda, Nissan, Suzuki and Mercedes have all expressed interest in participating in the event.

Ray Wills, CEO of The West Australian Sustainable Energy Association (WA SEA) said of the event: “We expect a large number of fleet managers to participate not least of which our large member companies with significant fleet interests.

These include large resource companies such as BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, and Wesfarmers, engineering firms like Worley Parsons and Aecom, energy utilities including Western Power, Synergy and Horizon Power, as well as the major universities such as The University of Western Australia and Curtin University, and local, state and federal government agencies and many other fleet managers too.”

As the National Green Fleet Day will run on Remembrance Day, 11 November 2010, WA SEA (as a not-for-profit association) will run this event as cost recovery, and will give a share of any surplus from the event to Legacy.
