The Clarksville Association of Realtors has incorporated highly visible solar panels into the design and construction of its new office at 115 Center Pointe Drive.

The goal was to “express their progressive nature through architectural interest, detail and energy efficiency. With this focus, incorporating solar technology was a must,” according to a news release from CAR.

The design firm Lyle Cook Martin Architects worked with LightWave Solar Electric, the largest area installer of residential and commercial solar systems, on the project.

Installed along the front entry sidewalk near the main entrance is a 1.8 kW system consisting of eight 225-watt solar panels mounted on the ground. The system will generate about $500 per year through TVA’s Generation Partners program.
